Curriculum vitae

Almasa Sarabi studied linguistics, cultural studies, and business administration in Hamburg, Goettingen, Pune (India), and Uppsala (Sweden). She obtained her PhD in Goettingen in 2017 with research stints in South Korea and Canada. In 2017, Almasa became Assistant Professor of International Human Resource Management at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

Almasa examines new patterns in work and employment. She conducts research focusing on individuals’ (non-)communication behaviors examining when and why (middle) managers remain silent vis-à-vis different stakeholders and how they talk about their work. A second focus of her research examines hiring practices in organizations with current projects exploring how unconscious hiring bias affect subsequent outcomes.
