Information updates from FAU

FAU had only just decided to introduce the 2G rule for teaching (restricting on-campus teaching to students who are only either vaccinated or recovered) when the politicians decided to introduce new rules. For example, as of this week all staff at Bavarian universities have to comply with the 3G plus rule, in other words, anyone who works on campus has to either meet the 2G criteria or be able to show a valid, negative PCR test result twice a week.

To help us all keep track of the current situation, FAU keeps students and staff up to date with regular information bulletins. For example, FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger and Prof. Dr. Georg Schett, VP Research and an immunologist, were able to answer a number of questions concerning the latest rules at FAU and the Covid vaccination during the information session last Thursday.

We do understand, however, that individuals may still be in need of clarification, which is why the Occupational Medical Service at FAU also offers individual consultations concerning vaccination: www.baed.fau.de

It is worth taking a look at the FAU coronavirus information website, where we have included detailed FAQs on the topic of 2G and the Covid vaccination, as well as all the latest updates: www.fau.eu/corona
