Curriculum vitae

Klaus Henselmann studied business administration at the University of Bayreuth and the University of Aston in Birmingham, UK. After receiving his doctorate and habilitation in Bayreuth, he accepted the offer of a chair at the Technical University of Chemnitz in 1997 and declined an offer to join the University of Düsseldorf in 2002. Since 2006, Prof. Henselmann has held the Chair of Accounting and Auditing at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

His special academic interests include business valuation (co-founder and long-time board member of EACVA “European Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts”), digital financial reporting especially with XBRL (member of the strategy advisory board of XBRL Deutschland e.V.), text mining and data mining in financial reports as well as special audits (long-time member of the Committee of the Chamber of Public Accountants for the federal exam).
