For the third year in succession, FAU is ranked as the academic institution that has produced the most widely cited publications in Germany. This is one of the findings of the recently published QS World University Rankings 2018. And internationally, FAU can be delighted with its 21st spot in this prestigious category, an excellent result that underscores FAU’s leading position in this indicator.

FAU also retained its overall position in the QS ranking in national terms in place 18 among the 20 best German universities. It has also secured a spot in the top 20 in terms of its reputation among employers. FAU has held on to its excellent rankings with regard to the indicators ‘academic reputation’, ‘faculty student ratio’ and ‘international student ratio’.

The QS World University Rankings prepared annually by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) shows the comparative reputation of universities worldwide among academics and employers, the number of publication citations per academic, the ratio of faculty staff to students and the ratios of international staff and students. Quacquarelli Symonds bases its results on statistics and surveys of academics and HR managers.
