On Friday, July 3, 2026, the School of Business, Economics, and Society (FAU WiSo) hosted its festive graduation ceremony once again. Around 170 graduates (bachelor’s and master’s programs) celebrated this special milestone together with their families and friends. Lecture Hall H4 was nearly full, with about 700 people in attendance.
Prof. Dr. Mario Liebensteiner, the event’s patron, warmly welcomed the graduates and guided guests through the ceremony. In addition to Marcus König, the mayor of Nuremberg, Rainer Ostermayer, spokesperson for the board of Alumni & Freunde WiSo Nürnberg e.V., also addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech. The keynote speech was delivered by FAU WiSo alumnus Rolf Bürkl, Head of Consumer Climate at the Nuremberg Institute for Market Decisions.
A central highlight of the celebration was the formal presentation of the graduation certificates. Equally memorable was the graduate speech, this year given by Julius Tischer. Musical accompaniment was provided by the talented “Duo der Musikhochschule”, creating a fitting atmosphere for the occasion. The event concluded in the courtyard of FAU WiSo with the traditional hat-tossing and a get-together with refreshments.
