The lecture period has begun, and the FAU WiSo welcomes new and returning students to its City Campus in the heart of Nuremberg. To kick off the 2026/27 winter semester, there was plenty to see and do on the WiSo campus at Lange Gasse: After the Dean of the ReWi Faculty, Prof. Dr. Christian Merkl, welcomed the first-year students, Nuremberg’s Lord Mayor Marcus König addressed the new students with welcoming words. FCN board spokesperson and WiSo alumnus Niels Rossow also shared some experiences from his time as a student with those in attendance.
Following the welcome event for first-semester students, during which the popular FAU WiSo welcome bags were also handed out, the WiSo information fair in the foyer of Lange Gasse provided an opportunity to learn about the School’s numerous facilities, institutions, initiatives, and corporate partners and to make new connections.
