Start of studies 2021/22: Big welcome for WiSo first-year students on October 18, 2021

New life, new friends, new city: To help first-year students quickly feel at home at FAUWiSo, there are not only a variety of introductory events, but also a very official welcome on October 18, 2021.

On this day, the WiSo schools head and the Lord Mayor of the City of Nuremberg, Marcus König, will welcome the first-semester students. The digital welcome will be held in German as well as English for the Bachelor students and Master students.

After the welcome, students will head to WiSo’s virtual info fair. At the online info fair, more than 30 facilities, institutions, initiatives and company partners of the department presented themselves on digital booths. Many WiSo institutions, such as the Language Center and the University Library, the student representatives and various service and counseling centers present themselves there. Student initiatives and company partners offer interesting information and insights. This year, too, new students can familiarize themselves with all the possibilities and receive information they need for a successful start to their studies.

In the afternoon, the inner courtyard of WiSo Nuremberg then attracts with beer garden feeling incl. free pretzels and drinks as well as city tours as part of the mentor program. Here, students can finally get to know the city and WiSo better live. On this day, the popular WiSo first semester bags will also be handed out. In the evening, the student councils and initiatives invite you to a big get-to-know-you party at Mach1 in Nuremberg’s city center.
